Sang Kancil a.k.a. Mousedeer

I had the chance to take photos of mousedeers at the Singapore Zoo (some say the best zoo in the world). There were too many of them, and i used my kit lense only (18-70mm) to take this picture.

Like what Syed Nasir said; "perfecting a shot of one subject is more important than taking a lot of subjects", so I did it. From tens of shots, only this one managed to satisfy me. (thank you halim for being patient with me and perfecting my shots)

The photo shows that the mousedeer has a really good eye contact with the viewer, and to me that is important - because i can tell the viewer how close visitors can get to the animals in this so called the best zoo in the world.

f/5.6
shutter 1/13
ISO3200 (haha, we must avoid using flash while taking wild animals, that's why the high ISO)

Kawan-kawan, kenapa haiwan ini dikatakan bijak?
Sebab kadang-kadang kita yang mempunyai akal bersikap lebih teruk daripada binatang.
Dah dikurniakan akal fikiran, tapi sering dilalaikan.
Bak kata seorang kartunis terkenal satu masa dulu, "B*bi hina tapi at least dia tak minum arak dan terkinja-kinja di disko"
kelakar.

Songs of The Sea

Sepanjang seminggu berkelana di bumi Temasek, rasanya persembahan Songs of The Sea di Pulau Sentosa yang paling menghiburkan hati.
Pertama. Sebab memang menghibur dan mengagumkan.
Kedua. Sebab murah.

Bayaran hanya SGD8, sedangkan entry ke banyak tempat lain memakan berbelas dollar, malah puluhan.
Ah. Mahal.
Lain kali tak nak pergi lagi tempat lain..
Lain kali kalau singgah ke bumi Temasek lagi, tengok Songs of The Sea sahaja.
tiap2 hari sold out.
Pergh. Memang best.

p/s:- tak sempat la nak jumpa ikhwah akhawat di Singapura. Tapi aktiviti dakwah di sana memang menarik. Unik. ;)
